Gary Duff Arredondo is a Chilean-American poet, writer, editor, photographer, and broadcaster. In 2026, Duff was named Writer-in-Residence, Hofstra University — WRHU. Formerly Deputy Online Editor at Modern Luxury, he co-hosts Calliope’s Corner, a long-running poetry and arts program on WRHU, with its founder, former Nassau County Poet Laureate Paula Curci.

He hosted The Gary Duff Show and The New American Kitchen on WOR in New York. His radio work has received two Gracie Awards, and he was a member of WRHU’s five-time NAB Marconi Award-winning broadcast team.

His writing has appeared in Newsday, The Huffington Post, Maxim, Modern Luxury, amNewYork, Guest of a Guest, Whitewall, and Windmill Literary Journal.

He is at work on Mijo: A Genealogy of the Disappeared, a hybrid work of poetry and literary narrative nonfiction about postmemory, inheritance, and the afterlife of Chile’s 1973 coup.

Mijo: A Genealogy of the Disappeared was a finalist for the inaugural Kate Medina Fellowship for Literary Narrative Nonfiction at The New York Public Library.
